🥘 Kohla Varka Chana Masala Recipe
🧂 Ingredients:
White chickpeas (Kabuli chana) – 1 cup (soaked overnight)
Onion – 2 medium (finely chopped)
Tomato – 2 medium (pureed or finely chopped)
Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Green chili – 1 (optional, slit)
Oil – 2 tbsp
Kohla Varka Chana Masala – 2 tbsp ✅
Salt – to taste
Fresh coriander – for garnish
Water – as needed
Lemon wedges & onion rings – for serving
A pinch of Kohla Varka Amchoor Powder or lemon juice for tang
👨🍳 Cooking Instructions:
Boil Chickpeas:
Pressure cook soaked chickpeas with salt and enough water for 4–5 whistles until soft.Make the Masala Base:
Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden.
Add ginger-garlic paste and green chili. Sauté for 1–2 minutes.
Add tomato puree and cook until oil separates.Add the Flavor:
Mix in Kohla Varka Chana Masala. Sauté the masala well for 2–3 minutes.Combine with Chickpeas:
Add the boiled chickpeas (with water as needed). Simmer on low flame for 10–15 minutes until flavors blend well.Garnish & Serve:
Top with chopped coriander, onion rings, and lemon juice. Serve hot with bhature, puri, or rice.
