🥘 Kohla Varka Veg Biryani Recipe

🧂 Ingredients:

  • Basmati rice – 1.5 cups

  • Mixed vegetables (carrot, beans, peas, potato) – 1.5 cups (chopped)

  • Onion – 2 (thinly sliced)

  • Tomato – 1 (chopped)

  • Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp

  • Green chili – 1 (slit)

  • Curd – ½ cup

  • Kohla Varka Veg Biryani Masala – 2 tbsp

  • Oil – 2 tbsp + Ghee – 1 tbsp

  • Salt – to taste

  • Mint & coriander leaves – handful

  • Water – 2.5 to 3 cups

  • Fried onions & cashews – for garnish (optional)

👨‍🍳 Method:

  1. Prep the Rice:
    Soak basmati rice for 30 minutes. Drain and set aside.

  2. Cook Vegetables:
    Heat oil + ghee in a pan. Add sliced onions and sauté till golden brown.
    Add ginger-garlic paste, green chili, and tomatoes. Cook till soft.

  3. Add Flavor:
    Mix in curd and Kohla Varka Veg Biryani Masala. Cook till masala releases aroma.

  4. Combine Veggies:
    Add chopped vegetables, salt, mint, and coriander. Sauté for 5–6 minutes.

  5. Add Rice & Water:
    Mix soaked rice gently with the masala. Add water. Cover and cook on low flame till rice is done and fluffy.

  6. Garnish & Serve:
    Fluff rice gently. Garnish with fried onions, mint, and cashews. Serve hot with raita.
